Chef of the Future

If you're a budding chef, think that you could create a weekend menu for a young veggie on a small budget, or maybe you've got some great design ideas, we've got three competitions for you to choose from.

If you're into vegetarian cooking, and think you have what it takes to produce a mouth-watering three course veggie meal and then recreate it in a live cook-off at Vegetarian Society HQ in Altrincham, we want to hear from you! Last year the Cordon Vert Chef of the Future competition was so popular we're running it again this year. Winners will receive:

• personalised chef's jacket
• a year's membership to the Vegetarian Society
• a hamper of products approved by the Vegetarian Society
• a fully funded °Cordon Vert Diploma scholarship (worth in excess of £1,500)

Young Veggies' Competition

For the under 12s there’s a competition to re-design our National Vegetarian Week poster, we’ll provide the template, you can do the rest. For those of you under 26 we'd like you to create a weekend’s meal-plan for a young vegetarian on a low budget. And, of course, there will be prizes too…
